WHAT IS LOVE ?

I'm one of them, who are still in dilemma whether we control our emotions [especially love] or it controls us. People say that it just happens, thats why we say I fell in love. But don't you think its odd, people also say we control our life and get to decide what we wanna do. So how come love just happens? When I asked some, they say its absolutely beyond physical attraction. Then what is love at first site? I think, U should get to know each other first.

Sometimes U feel like being ingored. Little things, that U might find interesting but Ur friends and family won't give a damn about it. Its then u think u need someone to listen to U, console U and set U right. Everybody hopes to find sum1, to share their joy and sorrow. If that someone is ur gender, U call him Ur best friend and if its not U call her Ur luv. Thats not fair. Why many of us fail to see that she too can be your best friend? And not Ur luv.

Many have misconceptions, they think their friendship is luv actually. But that person was just interested him coz they had same views, liked the same thing and the list goes on. Its not that bad to miscomprehend things but its worse when U end up broken hearted. Afficionados know the one thing U won't forget is Ur first love, even U forget the moments with Ur friends. This is true. Its sick to just waste ur precious moments over puppy love.

As far as I've known everybody believes in Love and the Best moment is when U realise u are actually in luv with someone. Sometimes U feel happy for Ur friend who's in luv. He's changed but in a good way, lets say he's refined whether his beloved sees this change but he is. Many give up smoking, booze and things like that for love. Isn't that good? Most of the people on earth have fallen in love but none could define love. Love is not a thing to define, its an emotion that will make say these lines,
"let me drown in ur laughter,
let me die in ur arms" - John Denver.

And thats LOVE...

You are not alone. There are a lot of stars in sky and one would sure be shining for U.

ADIOS... AU REVOIR... SAYONARA...

Familiar terms, we come across in a farewell party. Being the juniors, we had to organise a party last week for the to be departed. Invitations were designed and delivered. The Big Day arrived and everyone was so excited.

Events remained the usual farewell stuff. Gotta admit, I was a bit bored to witness them time and again. It started with the a speech from our HOD, all I could hear was LP's - Nobody's listening from nowhere.

As events started rolling, they called in a freakishly fat dude on stage. The contest was, whoever lifts him gets a brownie. And for the girls, it was the infamous bun eating contest and loud whistle contest. Why don't they allow boys in these contests? Everyone knows, its our area of expertise...

The much awaited Tug of War between the boys and girls. The battle of sexes. They were 5 girls ready on stage. What an enthusistic participation from the boys, just one on the other side. You do the math and guess who won...

Still wondering, why do they always call on a good singer and a really shy guy to sing?
The latter would be like ' what the heck? Its our farewell, lets give it a try '. After the good singer is done, there would be definite second opinions ' Okay. I'm not singing. Not now. Not today '.

Nearing the end, one of our seniors, gave the valediction. He was talkin about their days under sun, the moments they shared, the fun they had. I could see few eyes briming with tears. Guess I'll never know what they feel, till I stand there next year...

Sunday Morning

Sunday Morning,

It was December. Strolling down the lane, observing things that came into life after the mild rain that set in last night. I could feel the soused soil beneath my feet. So serene, as I walked by very much amazed to see the crystal dew drops on the lush grass, tears from heaven shimmering in the sunshine. May be one of The Angels above was heart-broken, kept weeping all night. Apparent is the mind of the human, when he is happy, everything seems so joyful around him. When he is sad, you know how it goes...

Right here, is Mr.Gupta's place. Amiable 60 year old having his morning tea and updating himself from the newspaper with his love for more than 30 years, Mrs.Gupta. Whenever I see them around I'm astounded. Never seen a lovely couple like them except in the movies. Not even my Mom and Dad, thats another story, a tragedy to be precise. They are so warm, gentle and young at heart. Every time I think about them, I just can't help it, like its outta my control, a smile creeps into my face.

Have you ever really stopped to see the tiny mushrooms on a tree trunk? Stark white amidst the brown bark. Even the mushrooms are not alone. Looking above I could see the birds fluttering to dry their wings. Getting ready for the new day. Clearly, what happened yesterday has no bearing. They start fresh everyday. Walking on, I see small fishes swimming towards higher land against the flow, trifling with the mighty water though never giving in no matter what.

Forever & For always, I would love the girl down the lane. And there she is playing with her pup, Ryan. She was caressing her hair blown by the gentle breeze. I longed to be that breeze, that whispers in her ear, makes her smile, caresses her hair and just dies mutely. She then picked up Ryan, patted on his forehead and kissed him. I would trade, give away anything to be the little pup. She doesn't know I adore her. I never had the guts to verbalize the emotions saved deep down in my heart. I'm standing right here, just yards away from her.

The rain started pouring down...

P.S. Not touting but every para starts with my favorite track.

Romance in Spring

Romance in Spring

It was a day in Spring. The almanac has lied and the snows of winter, lay as if they never want to leave the Cross town. This is where Sarah lived. A young New York girl, knew not more than short hand. If she had been graduated in Stenography, she would have acquired a desk job. She was a free-lance typist. One evening she dined in the Schulenburg's Home Restaurant next door, found that the bill of fare was written in script unreadable. Next day she offered Schulenburg, a menu perfectly typewritten. This fetched her a job in the restaurant. She had to furnish type-written bills of fare, new ones for breakfast, lunch, dinner. In return Schulenburg sent her three meals per day by a waiter to her room.

One afternoon, Sarah alone in her bedroom. She had nothing to do except for Schulenburg's menu cards. She sat in her rocker looking out of the window, the city was preparing for the arrival of spring. Spring's harbingers are too subtle to eyes, though she knew the spring was coming. This distressed her more. She wept rocking her in chair.

On previous spring, she went to country-side for two weeks, and fell in love with a farmer, Walter franklin. She had euphoric moments of her life with him. He would weave a crown of dandelions for her. He wooed and won her. They were to get married at the very first signs of spring. Here it is, the spring has come but not Walter.

Then pulling herself together, she started typing menu. Just before the desserts, the list of vegetables- carrots, cabbage and..... She broke down, tears of despair. She hadn't received a letter from Walter since two weeks. The item that caused the trauma was DANDELIONS with some kind of egg. She forced back her tears, The work has to be done. She finished it and sent it to Schulenburg.

The next day afternoon, just as usual Sarah was alone. Then she heard someone out her door. She knew the voice. It was Walter. She ran to door, opened it. Walter embraced her and held her like he would never let her go. "Why haven't you written...why?" Sarah with burst of joy. "I came to your old address, then I knew you moved. Since then I've been hunting you in this big city" said Walter.
"I wrote" said Sarah vehemently. "Never got it"was the reply."How did you find me?"" I dropped into the restaurant, next door. What I saw below cabbage, made me call the proprietor. He told me where you lived".Walter showed her the menu card. She was back in tears seeing it.What was below the cabbage?DEAREST WALTER WITH HARD BOILED EGG.
